Dock’s Oyster House
For nearly 120 years, Dock’s Oyster House has been a place where people with discerning tastes can enjoy some truly delicious, wonderfully fresh seafood. The classic building features some delightful character thanks to its century-old architecture, but it has also enjoyed several renovations to keep it fresh, beautiful and appealing to modern guests.
The interior is a charming blend of the vintage and the new; the rich, gleaming wood overhead and along the bar contrasts well with the industrial ambiance of the light fixtures and the geometric pattern of the carpet. Period details have been preserved throughout the restaurant, from the geometric architectural detail on the front of the building to various decor elements in the dining space.
Seafood is the star of the show at Dock’s Oyster House. Appetizers pay tribute to the bounty of the ocean, with fried oysters, Clams Casino, grilled octopus, broiled oysters, and steamed clams. Chowder and oyster stew are delicious sequels to the starters, or you can opt for a Caesar salad, beet salad, or Dock’s House Salad. Just a few of the entrees on the menu are Crispy Wasabi Tuna, lobster tail, Pan-Sauteed Crab Cakes, or Dock’s Seafood Fry. Dock’s Oyster House offers meat as well, including lamb, sirloin, and filet mignon. Pair your selection with a sparkling, white, rose, or red wine from the restaurant’s award-winning wine list.
Do you love a good raw bar? You and your guests can enjoy a succulent spread of mussels, shrimp, lump crab, tuna sashimi, clams on the half shell, chilled lobster, ceviche, and several different types of oysters, all freshly caught and resting in beds of ice. The oyster selections commonly served include Chesapeake Bay oysters, Cape May salts, Barcats, Blue Points, Long Island Medium oysters, and Malpeque oysters from Prince Edward Island. The restaurant also has a full bar, well-stocked with nearly every kind of drink you could wish for as a complement to your meal. The piano bar provides additional live entertainment for your dining pleasure. If you’re hosting a reception dinner, birthday party, or business gathering, you probably don’t want the extra hassle of trying to figure out where your guests will park. Ample free parking is yet another bonus at Dock’s Oyster House

If you’re in A.C. and you want the best seafood, this is the place to go…Especially if you’re in the mood for lobster. Hands down the best lobster that i have had in a very LONG time no doubt. Service is 10/10. To start had the Manhattan clam chowder and all i can say is WOW, then had the 2 1/2 lb lobster stuff with imperial crab meat and i will say it was amazing!!! Also had the flounder stuffed with crabmeat and side of asparagus and it was light and delicious. Also want to give a super shout out to my waitress that night Helen. I will say she is one of the most knowledgeable, total sweetheart of a woman there and she is a total asset to the place. Then again she only been there 26 plus years. And also shout out to Oscar too!! If u go there ask for Helen nuff said.!!! I know I will be going there next time I’m in town.
What an amazing atmosphere!! There was a pianist when we entered playing..you can just tell the history when you walked in the door. It had such a great feel to it. The food was incredible. I had the pan seared scallops over garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe. It was delicious! The Pomegranate Pear Martini was to die for. Amy, our waitress was wonderful and very accommodating. Docks is a place that I would go to over and over again! Thank you.
Oyster is super fresh. I would recommend blue point. Food is excellent. I got the Flanders with crabmeat and the waiter Dennis actually separate it into 2 plates for us which is superb service since we are sharing that entry after 36 oysters and a lb lobsters. One more thing …my wine glass was never empty. Highly recommended! Reservation ahead of time if you want a table because it gets packed fast!
This is by far the best restaurant in Atlantic City!!!! I say if you are in town and don’t eat here you are missing out!! Scallop dinner was mouthwatering!! Cowboy steak was unbelievable and our clams casino to die for!
Best seafood place I’ve been to in NJ. We always get oysters parmigiana. It is a special but they’ll usually make it for you. Their fish specials are always great.
