In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it’s often easy to forget about fitness and healthy eating. But each year, MetLife Stadium opens its doors to host the Health and Fitness Expo; one of the largest health events in the tri-state area. The event allows attendees to experience fun activities, presentations, products and more, all revolving around healthy living.
Steve Adubato and crew went to the Health and Fitness Expo to discuss the importance of physical and mental health. After arriving at Metlife Stadium, Adubato spoke to both NY Giants players and employees and representatives of Hackensack Meridian Health. For the most part, they spoke about the physical and mental benefits of healthy living and exercise.
Getting Active During The Health and Fitness Expo at Metlife Stadium
One of the best aspects of the Health and Fitness Expo? It is absolutely free for everyone.
“We work very, very hard to bring this event to the community free, and that’s really important for us, and it’s really through partnerships,” says Mike Stevens, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of the Giants. “We are a partnership-based organization — broadcast partners, health care partners, partners in all shapes and sizes — and it takes a lot, a lot of partnerships to make this event work, to get it to that level where we can bring it free to the public.”
Football fans in attendance could even tour the Giants locker room and additionally meet some football stars. Adubato also had the opportunity to speak with some of these athletes, including former Giants linebacker Mark Herzlich. Of course, Herzlich spoke to the importance of taking care of your body and mind. After all, staying healthy isn’t just for professional athletes.
“We all are what we are for a brief period of time, but our health lasts our entire life,” Herzlich says.
