The process starts with a simple consultation, where Noel asks basic questions about the gifter and giftee. In fact, she says you’ll feel like you’re getting exactly what you want—and more. “My customers come to me because they trust me,” she says. “I always keep a solid, open line of communication. You’ll never feel as though you’re not getting quality service or product from me.”
Noel is an accountant by day, though she’s been in the gift-making business since 2016. “I’ve always had a true love and passion for art and creating things,” says Noel. She runs the business from her Voorhees home and gets a helping hand from her 9-year-old daughter. “I started doing this business because behind every basket is a message,” she explains. These positive messages include themes such as “Love each other” or “Believe even when it’s dark”.
“Anything bright, vibrant, and uplifting is what I’ll gravitate towards,” Noel continues. “The world isn’t filled with enough of it. I figured why not push genuine love out there in hopes others pay the messages forward. That’s my main goal—spreading light and love in hopes that it goes around and gets to people.”
Building a Gift Basket
The baskets from Sonilee’s Sweethearts vary in pricing, mostly because of the process. Each basket has a unique set of items, so pricing changes based on the items as well as labor. You can place an order via phone call, email, or text. Of course, the more details you can provide Noel, the better. In addition, it typically takes about one week to prepare a basket. (However, she can create expedited gifts for an additional fee.) Meanwhile, Noel requires a 25% deposit prior to production, and the remaining balance is due right before delivery.
Sonilee’s Sweethearts offers free delivery and shipping on orders over $100. However, orders under $100 incur a flat local delivery fee (within the South Jersey region) of $9.50. Orders under $100 for all other NJ residents also incur shipping costs.
