Three Little Birds Brings Gifting Essentials to Ocean City

Three Little Birds Motivational Poster by Jim Henson

For over five years, Bridget Jacobson had a picture from Pinterest saved on her phone. She envisioned the photo as the look for the card store she dreamed of owning. Now, as the owner of Three Little Birds – Books Cards & Gifts in Ocean City, her dream is a reality.

In particular, the store’s wallpaper and custom bookshelves were inspired by the image. A friend restored over 25 pieces of furniture to pull everything together. The vibe is a happy, boho-chic aesthetic. “My goal is for the shop to feel like a welcoming, joyful space where everyone can sit, relax, and enjoy a good read,” Bridget says.

Three Little Birds, Many Many Gifts

Three Little Birds sells a selection of thoughtfully-chosen books, cards, party supplies, and gifting essentials. “I love our greeting cards. They’re full of personality, a little humor, and I always find one that makes me smile,” Bridget says.

Their dedicated kids’ reading and gift sections provide unique twists on everyday items. “Customers often tell us that they find something different here, and we take pride in that,” Bridget explains. “That mix of unique and exciting finds makes our space feel special and keeps our customers coming back for more.”

Three Little Birds partners with local businesses, and is committed to carrying exclusive items not found in other nearby shops. “Every product has been handpicked by me or my team, ensuring our offerings are truly special,” Bridget says.

About the Owners

Bridget owns the shop with her husband, Brad. Bridget has over 30 years of experience in corporate retail. Meanwhile, Brad has a background in finance, having worked in the casino industry as well as banking. They’re also partners with Raj and Yogi Khatiwala. (The duo behind Stainton’s, Stainton’s by The Sea, Shoppes at The Asbury, The Shoobie Shack, and Stainton’s Kids.) The group also owns several hotels and bed and breakfasts.

USA-themed gifts

Bridget grew up nearby and was raised in Margate. Similarly, the Khatiwala brothers were born in Ventnor. “So, we’re all locals with deep ties to the community.”

Three Little Birds is currently looking for ways to bring new and exciting items to the store. They’re also exploring the idea of starting a book club.
