Coworking spaces are not new, but Shore Space in Brigantine offers so much more. The boutique coworking office and event space inspires creativity, community, and collaboration in a calm and inviting spot. And it’s all one block past the Brigantine lighthouse, two blocks from the bay, and two blocks from the ocean.
The 900-foot-space is “open and airy with modern décor throughout. Anyone who comes into the space is impressed with the 10-foot-high plant wall,” says Krista Baum. Krista co-owns Shore Space with her husband, Christopher. It’s also the first of its kind in the area, as the town’s only coworking space. (Which allows people to work individually or together as a group in a shared office space.) The business serves both local professionals and visitors who need a quiet place to work.

Multifunctional Space
Shore Space boasts various workspace options, including private desks, shared tables, and a lounge area. They also have small phone booths for private phone or video calls. In addition, they offer a strong high-speed internet connection complete with generator backup. This is especially compelling because, according to Krista, Brigantine doesn’t always have the best internet. Meanwhile, their kitchenette is always fully stocked with coffee, tea, and treats. The space currently holds up to 15 coworkers, but they hope to expand to include more workspace options soon.
The multi-purpose space is also available for hosting an intimate dinner or small event at night or on weekends. Plus, Shore Space will accommodate any extra needs. “If we don’t have it, we can get it for you,” Krista assures. “You can rent out the entire space and we provide concierge level service to plan your event in any capacity that someone wants. From agenda creation to organizing food and beverage, gifts, audio visual, speakers, etc., we prioritize working with local vendors and small businesses.”

Previous events include family-friendly kids’ paint nights, epoxy resin workshops, cocktail parties, and meetings. Shore Space also showcases the work of local artists in its on-site art gallery. Patrons can purchase this artwork directly from the artists.
The Future of Shore Space
Shore Space plans to incorporate virtual office memberships. This service provides a business mailing address for an individual, small company, or remote business without a physical location. A virtual office membership eliminates the need to list a home address for an LLC or small company. It’s also great for businesses who don’t use physical office space often as a way to reduce overhead costs.
In addition, they plan to expand the business to include private offices and conference rooms.
