The name Curbside Confections likely already sounds familiar. Their candy-stocked food trucks have been all the rage at weddings and special events across New Jersey. They even offer trucks with hot chocolate, donuts, and cotton candy. But now, they’re expanding into the brick-and-mortar space with a Gift Shoppe in Park Ridge.
The Curbside Confections Gift Shoppe sells candy and novelty gifts. Their 2,000-square foot space includes a large display of novelty candy and nostalgic favorites. Prior to opening the shop, Owners Tara Chaffiotte and Danielle Ganter operated their candy and snack trucks for six years. While the mobile trucks aren’t going anywhere, the duo decided they needed a home base. “We purchased the building to establish a root and headquarters,” they say.

A Trip Down Memory Lane
Curbside Confections is “just as fun as it is sophisticated. Our Gift Shoppe offers the ultimate gift and candy experience. From plush and apparel to games and toys, there is something for everyone for all occasions or just because.”
Popular picks for patrons include custom gift boxes, which can be filled with any preferred treats for a personalized present. They also have private event space with a separate entrance courtesy of Party With Sol at Curbside Confections. Clients can create custom packages with a planner to develop decorations and activities for a party or special event.
Curbside Confections still offers mobile candy and snack trucks for private events of all sizes and occasions. In addition, they have a gourmet hand-spun cotton candy truck with over 70 house-made signature flavors and colors. Clients can book this truck on its own or along with a fully stocked candy and snack truck. “Our candy and snack trucks will always be our first love,” Tara and Danielle say.

Tara and Danielle have been friends since long before starting Curbside Confections. The idea was born after discovering they had few if any options for after-party ideas for Danielle’s wedding.
Their franchise program launched in early 2023. They plan to expand to southeast Florida by Q3 2023 and North Carolina by early 2024.
