The popular New Jersey-based Korean chicken chain, Seoul Fried Chicken – aka SFC – has opened a new Jersey Shore location. The Toms River community can now experience the fast-casual restaurant’s unique brand of authentic Korean fried chicken.
Their 1,500-square-foot Toms River location is right on Route 37 and just minutes from the Seaside Heights beach. Seoul Fried Chicken can seat about 30 guests indoors, with future plans for outdoor seating as well.

Street Food Meets Seoul Food
At Seoul Fried Chicken, the menu blends the vibrant street food culture of Seoul with authentic Korean fried chicken. The Toms River location offers the same menu as other locations. Which means you’ll find their signature fried chicken pieces and chicken sandwiches alongside house-made sauces. (Including fan favorites such as honey garlic, sweet and spicy, soy garlic, devil hot, and wasabi pepper.)
According to Managing Partner Muhammad Ali, his favorite dish is their signature chicken. “It perfectly represents our brand,” he says. “It’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.”

Besides chicken sandwiches, they also prepare chicken bowls and loaded fries. For instance, The SFC Original chicken rice bowl features steamed rice topped with chicken and fresh veggies. Meanwhile, the loaded fries are topped with SFC signature chicken and one of their sauces.
Seoul Fried Chicken also provides catering boxes for groups of five to 10 diners. Boxes include drumsticks, wings, coleslaw, cornbread, waffle fries, and sauces. Muhammad says the Toms River location is currently exploring adding premium gelato, gelato shakes, and seasonal menu items. He also wants to sponsor community youth activities and local charities, and expand their catering services.
About Seoul Fried Chicken
When SFC Seoul Fried Chicken first hit the scene in March 2021, Founder and Chef Hansong Kim had one goal. He wanted to create the most delicious Korean fried chicken in the state. To do so, Hansong uses an authentic, Korean-style double-frying technique. This process delivers an ultra-crispy exterior and juicy interior, creating bold flavors and satisfying textures.
Every recipe is crafted by Hansong from scratch, including the chicken breading, batter (made using a top-secret recipe), and the homemade sauces that are made from scratch daily. Food is freshly double fried (for extra crispiness and juicy tenderness) and never frozen. Chicken is non-GMO, without hormones or antibiotics.

As for Muhammad, he spent years running a successful deli and food business. “Opening a chicken store is a natural next step, allowing me the opportunity to bring my food and dining experience into the community,” he says.
