One of New Jersey’s most popular bed and breakfast’s just got even better. Northridge Restaurant is a fine dining experience inside of Woolverton Inn. Those traveling through Stockton can enjoy a cozy barn-like atmosphere along with elevated, seasonal cuisine.
Northridge Restaurant is housed in a restored 1830s barn with cathedral-height ceilings and views of the property. “The inside decor embodies rustic elegance,” says Mary Passalacqua, owner and general manager. “We’ve maintained the authenticity of the original barn as much as possible, merging ‘old and new’ in the same quality as the original structures.”

Sophisticated, Seasonal Dining
Besides the main dining room, Northridge Restaurant has a mezzanine level with five tables for two overlooking the main floor. Mary says the restaurant even added an elevator to reach this mezzanine. Meanwhile, a two-story, stone fireplace adds a homey touch to the space, especially during the winter. New windows serve to bring in natural light. Warm colors blend with the wood and stone, offering a comfortable setting. Outdoor dining is also available from several terraces, open seasonally.
The rotating menu at Northridge Restaurant offers sophisticated and upscale comfort fare featuring local Delaware Valley ingredients. For instance, enjoy Yukon potato soup with Maine lobster, truffle, and herbs. The wood-smoked salmon filet with warm green bean potato salad, roast tomatoes, and white balsamic is also popular. Their dessert menu is equally appealing, with favorites like chocolate mousse with donuts. This comes with a toasted almond crumble, vanilla cream, and raspberry sauce. Dinner service is BYOB.
Dinner & Brunch Specials
On Sundays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, they serve a Sunday Supper with Executive Chef Lance Knowling’s favorites. Dishes take inspiration from his Midwestern upbringing. Examples of previous dinners include Kansas City barbecue ribs, veal meatloaf, and the chef’s family recipe for country fried chicken.
Sunday Brunch will soon be available from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. This menu is a la carte and features locally sourced ingredients and comforting breakfast favorites with upscale touches. Northridge Restaurant also plans to host seasonal events.
