The town of Palisades Park is home to neighborhood café Kudo Society, which offers unique food and beverage options. The menu is mostly a mix of American food with a number of Korean dishes as well. Meanwhile, their drink menu offers an assortment of coffee, tea, and boba.
The 2,000-square-foot Kudo Society already has locations in both Teaneck and Bergenfield. But owner Cherie Ryu says that Palisades Park is known as the Korea Town of New Jersey; so expanding to this third location is a natural fit. “We are involved with the community and business owners in the area,” she adds.

Modern Design, Modern Menu
Kudo Society boasts a modern feel. Interior decorations include a hand-painted wall and a “Kudos to You” LED sign. Cherie says the spot caters to their clientele’s needs. “Most of our customers love to come here for productivity,” she says. To achieve their intended atmosphere, the cafe boats comfy seating, light music, and free Wi-Fi. They can seat 75 indoors. “We want to make our customers feel as welcome as possible. From on the go, to study lounge, and hangout spot, Kudo Society is dedicated to keeping guests comfortable.”
As for the menu, Kudo Society focuses on Korean fusion and American classics. The menu features light breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. They also sell fresh baked goods daily. In particular, customers love the house-made Kudonuts (Mochi donuts). In addition, popular menu items include the Kimchi rice bowl, chicken quesadilla, and chicken classico. The latter is grilled chicken with provolone, roasted red peppers, and mayo. Likewise, the Original Kudossant is a signature favorite, and includes a croissant with egg, cheese, and meat. However, Cherie’s favorite is the Korean BBQ bulgogi salad, stir-fried bulgogi with red onion, romaine, tomato, and sesame ginger dressing.

Coffee, Tea, & Boba
The team at Kudo Society has over 30 years of experience roasting coffee. Their hand-dripped coffee (available in single origins, blends, and decaf) is a crowd pleaser. They source beans from farms all over the world to make freshly roasted specialty grade coffees. In fact, they roast coffee beans using a Probat L25 and Probat P12, the finest specialty roasters in the world. Their coffee is so popular, they roast it for over 100 restaurants, coffee houses, gourmet stores, cafés, and espresso bars.
Meanwhile, their drink menu has over 50 boba options including their secret menu, which features popular flavor combinations. Taro is their most popular bubble tea. Likewise, tea lovers can choose from an extensive selection of over 200 loose leaf teas from around the world. Fan favorites at the moment include Fiji, Rooibos, and Darjeeling Autumnal. But Cherie loves the Vietnamese-inspired Moncherie drink. It’s a double shot of espresso with condensed milk and foam.
