Flying Pig Tavern & Tap Gives NJ a Place to Hang Out

The Flying Pig Tavern & Tap owners felt like something was missing in New Jersey. They saw bars and restaurants, but found few places where adults actually wanted to hang out and socialize. So, they built it themselves. Then they built another. And another. and another…

Flying Pig Tavern & Tap opened their first locations in Bordentown and Blackwood, New Jersey; in addition to Bethlehem and Limerick in Pennsylvania. Recently, they opened their fifth location in Riverside, connected to The Madison catering hall. Like its sister locations, The Flying Pig Tavern in Riverside focuses on elevated bar food and curated taps.

It’s Always a Great Time

A major part of The Flying Pig Tavern is delivering on both quality and experience. It blends great food and drinks in a laid-back space designed for gatherings and celebrations. Burgers and sandwiches are their most popular items. In particular, Niko Mazzella and Massimo Mazzella (day-to-day operators and owners) rave about the Riverside Smash Burger. The Flying Pig’s version features two, four-ounce smashed patties, pepper-jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and their candied jalapenos

Pizzas like the Flying Pig with spicy marinara, asiago, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and shredded bacon, and appetizers like bacon wrapped shrimp and cheesesteak eggrolls, are go to’s when it comes to sharing.

Breakfast Burger

Their drink menu changes seasonally, with the exception of a few staples. This includes cocktails such as Grace’s Secret – a gin and elderflower gimlet – and the hibiscus margarita.
