The number 33 has been significant throughout the life of Tommy Cimino, owner and brewmaster of Brewery Thirty-Three in Riverton. For instance, he wore the number on his soccer jersey as a kid and hockey jersey as a young adult. Coincidentally, it was also the number assigned to him in the fire department.
The 4,000-square-foot location for Brewery Thirty-Three was previously a storage space for vehicles and equipment. Now, the brewery creates a mix of seasonal, popular, and legacy beverages. “We provide a variety of beer styles that you don’t see often or have fallen off the map,” Tommy says. He says they also meet “the demands of the masses with popular styles like IPAs, sour beers, lagers, etc.”

What’s on Tap
Popular beers include the Ordinary Hero IPA, Ambient Light Blonde Ale, Bar-Down Lager, and Monkey Wrench Pale Ale. Likewise, seasonal favorites include the Confession Baltic Porter and RVT Maple Ale. “I’m a big fan of seasonally appropriate beer styles, but I am a ‘Hop Head’ at heart,” Tommy admits. “I love IPAs that punch you in the mouth with flavor and bitterness.”
Brewery Thirty-Three also makes hard seltzers, with many featuring “Boost!”, a local beverage native to Burlington County. Other hard seltzer options include flavors such as blackberry or grapefruit. In addition, soda, nonalcoholic seltzers, flavored sparkling water, and kids’ juice boxes are available at the bar.

About Brewery Thirty-Three
“The brewery and taproom has a subdued industrial vibe with a faux brick wall behind the 18-seat bar that holds our beer taps,” Tommy explains. The space also has three 65-inch televisions, and a Sonos sound system for space-filling sound; which enhances the ambient music and/or audio from live sports playing on the TV.
Two glass roll-up doors are attached to the taproom that open to their outdoor space. These doors lead to a side concrete patio with lounge furniture. Meanwhile, another outdoor space in the front of Brewery Thirty-Three provides eight picnic benches with umbrellas and Adirondack-style chairs. This mulched area is dog friendly, and has space for outdoor games like cornhole.

Tommy grew up in Cinnaminson, and was a firefighter for the Cinnaminson Fire Department and the Mount Laurel Fire Department. In 2015, he retired from emergency services after 26 years of active duty. Retirement led to home brewing, which led to a job at Zed’s Beer in Marlton. That experience built the foundation necessary for him to open his own brewery.
