This History of BBZ Limousine
BBZ Limousine is one of the New York metropolitan area’s oldest and largest transportation and limousine services in New Jersey. In operation since 1869, BBZ Limousine was originally known as Berkemeyer Livery in New Milford, NJ; at this time, Dr. Irving Berkemeyer was in charge of the business. At his son’s request, after joining the firm, the company began adding cars to its business in the early 1900s. During this time, and throughout the 20th century, the company became a well-respected funeral car service.
Meanwhile, the company also drew attention for breeding notable racehorses. After selling the company to Nicholas Malloy in 1970, the company began transitioning once more. Moreover, it wasn’t long until it became the full-service luxury ground transportation provider now known as BBZ Limousine. The firm eventually acquired several local competitors, most notably Bergen Limousine and Zabriskie & Stott Livery.
