Super Bowl Gala and Fire & Ice Fashion Show, Saturday, January 25, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., Secaucus: Secaucus will stage an event featuring cocktails, appetizers and an auction of jewelry, designer handbags, sports memorabilia and vacations at The Atrium at 500 Plaza Drive.
Super Bowl Kickoff Concert & Fireworks, Monday, January 27, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Free, Jersey City: Jersey City will host one incredible party to kickoff the Super Bowl celebrations in New Jersey with performances by Daughtry, Goo Goo Dolls and other performers. The event will be hosted by Fox Sports’ Joe Buck and Erin Andrews, with special correspondent Jordin Sparks contributing food and fashion segments from Macy’s Herald Square. To wrap up the night there will be a spectacular Macy’s fireworks display choreographed to an energetic soundtrack featuring songs from Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars and Lady GaGa. Secaucus Winter Blast, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, January 30 to February 1, $15.00, Secaucus: Winter Blast will be held every day from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday the hours are 11:00 a.m. to midnight. The celebration features 25 to 30 award winning food trucks, a beer garden, hockey games, skating, vendors, radio station broadcasts, games and giveaways.
Meadowlands Tailgate Party, Sunday, February 2, 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m., $10.00, East Rutherford: The home borough to Meadowlands Stadium is holding a tailgate party in the heart of downtown that features a block party with tents, live music, food trucks, rides, games, a snowball throw, beer garden, Super Bowl highlights on giant screens, vendors, and specials in the shops and restaurants downtown. There will be performances by the Nerds and The B Street Band, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band.
Official NFL Super Bowl Tailgate Party, Sunday, February 2, 4:00 p.m., $2,600.00 & up, East Rutherford: The party of them all will be held at Meadowlands Racetrack just before kickoff on Super Bowl Sunday. The event features a pre and post game party with food, a top shelf bar and live music.
Oyster Bowl, Sunday, February 2, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Free, Princeton:
The Blue Point Grill has one of the most unusual Super Bowl traditions in America. They sponsor an an annual oyster eating contest that benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The competition draws crowds to watch competitors eat as many oysters as they can in 2 minutes. The contest is followed by a lunch, family fun and a prize raffle. Beer Bowl Huddle, Sunday, January 26, 6:00 p.m., $75.00, MontclairThe Montclair Public Library will hold a beer tasting and football event with local football coaches and sports writers from the New York Times and the Newark Star-Ledger to celebrate the Super Bowl.
