The weather is warming up, so it’s time to venture out and enjoy all the Garden State has to offer. Whether you like exploring nature, listening to music or sampling craft beer, you’ll find something to interest you this month. All across NJ, a number of fairs, food fests and other great events are going on throughout March. We’re here to show you a few of the ones you simply can’t miss.

Dr. Seuss Family Fun Day
Where: Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown
When: March 2 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price: $10 for adults, $7 for children; free for kids under 3
Details: Celebrate all things Seuss at this annual festival in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Kids of all ages can dress like their favorite Dr. Seuss character and participate in fun activities; including Seuss-inspired demos in the kids’ lab, story time and special crafts. In addition, early access for families with disabilities begins an hour early at 10:00 am.

Spring Craft Morristown
Where: The Morristown Armory, 430 Western Avenue, Morristown
When: March 15 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm; March 16 10:00 am to 6:00 pm; March 17 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Price: $9 admission, free for children
Details: Get ready to sample some wares at one of the area’s first big craft shows of 2018. This unique event includes 165 of America’s top crafters and artists, plus DIY exhibits, gourmet specialty foods and demonstrations. For example, you can make your own hand-painted silk scarf or indulge in scrumptious gourmet treats. Free parking is also available.

Mercer Green Fest
Where: Rider University Student Recreation Center, 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrenceville
When: March 16 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Price: Free admission
Details: This eco-friendly festival, now in its 13th year, offers vendors, speakers and activities for the whole family. In other words, you can learn from master gardeners, sharpen your recycling skills and even see wild animals. Meanwhile, Grammy-nominated Miss Amy’s Band will perform lively and fun songs just for kids.

Where: Downtown Princeton
When: March 9 & 14, hours vary
Details: Celebrate the number 3.14 with the town of Princeton for its annual Pi Day festivities! Pi Day is free to attend, but contests require a small registration fee; particularly, events like pie eating, pie judging, pie throwing and pi recitation. You can even get married or renew your vows during the pop-up wedding ceremonies on March 14. Check their website for a full schedule of events.

Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival
Where: Atlantic City Convention Center, 1 Convention Boulevard, Atlantic City
When: March 29 & March 30 (Friday: 8:00 pm to Midnight; Saturday: Noon to 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm)
Price: $60 in advance, $65 at the door
Details: Beer lovers will go crazy over the nearly 1,000 beers available to taste at this annual festival. The AC Beer & Music Festival is without a doubt one of the area’s can’t-miss events. Of course, as the name implies, it features a ton of live music; plus food vendors and the 5K Hops Trot Run on March 30. This is the largest beer festival in the state and a must-attend for all hops aficionados!

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration and Parade
Where: North Wildwood City Hall, 10th & Atlantic Avenue, North Wildwood
When: March 16 at 11:30 am
Details: A lively St. Patrick’s Day Parade follows the holiday ceremony on the steps of City Hall. The VFW Color Guard, Vietnam Veterans of America, Irish Pipe Brigade, local school bands and more are all participating. Wear your green and join the St. Patty’s day fun in Wildwood!

CU Maurice River 14th Annual Chili Bowl
Where: Saint Padre Pio Parish, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland
When: March 9 from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Price: $25 per person
Details: Help support the protection of the Maurice River and its tributaries at this fun night out! Additionally, you can enter the chili contest or simply taste the entries and appetizers, plus join in the auction.

Irish Flag Raising
Where: Wiggins Park, Riverside Drive and MLK Boulevard, Camden
When: March 5 at 11:00 am
Details: Before St. Patrick’s Day arrives, don’t miss the raising of the Irish flag at Wiggins Park. There will be live entertainment, free hot dogs and shamrock pretzels as well as other refreshments. This is your chance to catch a free shuttle from City Hall and get into the holiday spirit!
