The Garden State is known for a myriad of attributes. By housing the world’s best diners, possessing an entire coast of diverse beaches and encompassing a variety of different terrains within less than 9,000 square-miles, there is much to see, do, eat and be proud of in our home state. When it comes to celebrating the New Jersey’s food and music, nobody does it like the Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival.
One of New Jersey’s better known, and greatly appreciated, qualities is its terrific location Nestled comfortably between the Big Apple and the City of Brotherly Love, NJ is able to offer great day-trips, mini-vacations and… food trucks?
New Jersey has no shortage of food truck festivals, but one company that goes above and beyond when it comes to organizing them is Just Jersey. The Just Jersey Food Truck & Music Festival is actually a series of traveling food truck festivals throughout the year. One of its first festivals of the season strolled onto the Mack-Cali Business Campus in Parsippany on June 17.
Even in the pouring rain during the early afternoon, food trucks from across the state – as well as New York and Pennsylvania – manned their stations and offered dedicated food truck aficionados some of the most mouthwatering grub in the tri-state area. Friendly familiar faces from trucks and stands like Bearded One BBQ, the Empanada Guy, Soda City, and Glazed & Confused were well prepared for the rush of hungry New Jerseyans who endured the weather last Saturday.
As the precipitation lessened, more and more patrons packed the festival’s grounds and lined up for tender barbecue, hearty macaroni and cheese, delectable sweets and thirst-quenching brews; Jersey Girl, Great Lakes, Defiant and Senor Sangria offered the more adult beverages for parents. Guests were also welcome to bring their own chairs and plop down along the festival’s borders or in front of the live music.
Once the skies opened up and the temperature warmed, the festival welcomed several great musical acts to energize the event. Musical artists Spinn, THE NERDS and Stereo Junkies played some engaging tunes all throughout the rest of the day.
Just Jersey organizes a number of festivals each year, offering “food and fun for the whole family.” Patrons are encouraged to come out and enjoy local vendors, listen to live music and sample some ice cold beer. If you couldn’t catch the Just Jersey Food Truck Festival in Parsippany, don’t sweat it! They’re hosting a bunch more this summer:
