The Union County St. Patrick’s Day Parade originally scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2010 has been postponed until Saturday March 27, 2010 at 1:00 pm, because of inclement weather.
The Union County St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in downtown Union, New Jersey. Marching bands, floats and kids activities will be part of the festivities. The first parade was staged in 1997, and since then has grown to become the largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New Jersey. It is staged by a group of Irish American and Fraternal organizations.

Some of the organizations that are involved in staging the parade are: The Joseph Nugent, Sr. Association, The Union County Irish American Association, The Rahway Ancient Order of Hibernians, The Thornsticks, The Union County Emerald Society, The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, The Community of St. Helen, The Irish American Society of Union and The Union County Police & Fire Pipes and Drums.
