The 63rd Annual Ocean County Fair opened yesterday and will continue through Sunday, July 19, 2009. The fair is held at the Robert J. Miller Air Park on Pinewald-Keswick Road a.k.a. Route 530 in Berkeley Township. The fair is managed by the Ocean County Board of Agriculture. The fair will be open nightly until 11:00 PM except Sunday when it will close at 5:00 PM. Adult admission is $6.00 per person and children under the age of 10 get in free.

This annual Fourth of July tradition is a free, family oriented festival, which attracts both local residents and visitors from throughout the region. The event takes place along a half mile stretch of the oceanfront promenade between Seven Presidents Park and the Ocean Place Resort and Spa. Activities will include master sand sculpting exhibits on the beach, strolling entertainers, live music of every imaginable type, food vendors, craft vendors and lots of activities for children. The fun-filled daytime activities offer a great prelude to a spectacular fireworks display.

Maplewood’s 108th annual celebration is organized by the Fourth of July Committee, MCA, and financed by your Tag purchase! Tags are required for admission, especially to the circus, music and fireworks! ($10 per tag, babes in arms free). Tags will be available at Maplewood merchants, libraries, etc.
