The Colors of Cape May, New Jersey
The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts sponsors a series of craft shows in Cape May all year long. In this article we feature the craft shows, antique shows and art shows that the organization has scheduled for the rest of the year, from July to November of 2009.
July 25
Christmas in July Crafts Show: Celebrate Christmas in July on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St. Enjoy a wide array of craft vendors as well as kids activities, music and entertainment. Call for times. Saturday, July 25. Free admission to the grounds. Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC).
Aug. 7
National Lighthouse Day Crafts Show: Join in the celebration to honor the Cape May Lighthouse on National Lighthouse Day and browse the craft vendors on the grounds of the Lighthouse at Cape May Point State Park. Enjoy family-friendly activities at the base of the lighthouse including pirate hat making, games and music. Call for times. Friday, Aug. 7. Free admission to the grounds. Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts.
Sept. 12
Cape May Crafts Show: Exhibit and sale by craftspeople showcasing hand-made items, gourmet food and unique collectibles at Star of the Sea Parish Hall, Ocean St. above the Washington Street Mall. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Admission is $1 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC).
Oct. 17
Crafts and Antiques for Victorian Week: Antique vendors and crafters from throughout the region display and sell their wares on the lawn of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. Free admission to the grounds. Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC).

Nov. 7
Fall Arts & Crafts Festival: More than 40 vendors come to Cape May to sell hand-made novelties including seasonal decorations, gift items and more. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at Star of the Sea Parish Hall, Ocean St. above the Washington Street Mall. Nov. 27 and 28
Holiday Crafts Fair: Your holiday shopping starts in here! Shop for unique hand-made gifts and seasonal decorations at Star of the Sea Parish Hall, Ocean St. above the Washington Street Mall. Friday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $1 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts.
