Warren County, NJ – The Warren County Farmers’ Fair featuring the Hot Air Balloon Festival will be hosting the 3rd annual Bicycle Balloon Race on Wednesday, July 29, 6:30 pm. This interesting demonstration of aeronautic skills and physical endurance pairs balloonists with professional cyclists. Balloon and cyclist soar through the air in the hot air balloon with the bicycle strapped to the basket for the first leg of the competition. The pilots must fly beyond a designated landmark at which point they are able to land and let their cyclist out of the basket. The cyclist then must head back to the finish line at the main entrance of the Warren County Farmers Fair located on County Rt. 519. The Monroe Township Mother’s Club and the Monroe Township Recreation Department will sponsor the annual Monroe Township Country Fair from noon to 6 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Thompson Park, Perrineville Road. Rain date is September 27. The fair will feature all-day enter­tainment with DJ Wacky Wayne and the Sunset Boulevard Band; the Monroe Township Police Department Color Guard; food; games for children; crafts; a petting zoo; pumpkin painting; pony rides; the Little Miss Monroe, Town Squire and Baby Buggy contests; band and karate demonstrations; the Monroe Wolverine Flag Cheerleaders; a 50/50 raffle; and more.
