North Jersey Halloween . Pick Your Own Pumpkins . Hayrides . Corn Mazes

NJ Fall & Halloween

I was born in late October and I’ve always felt like fall was my season. The air cools as summer begins to fade and the entire landscape comes alive with brilliant shades of gold and red. Leaves fall from the trees in a beautiful spiral dance. They make a crazy quilt of shapes, textures and colors on the ground.

You can celebrate Halloween in North Jersey by picking your own pumpkin from the vine or filling up a basket with apples right off the tree. You might take the kids to their first corn maze, or take your girlfriend on a haunted hayride. On just about any weekend there’s a harvest or Halloween festival at one of the local farms too.

Here’s my guide to Halloween in North Jersey. I’ve noted the days that most of the farm markets and stands are open. You should keep it in mind that some pick your own, hayride and corn maze events only operate on the weekends. To confirm details, check the farm’s website or call before you make a long trip. Most of the markets or stands are open every day unless noted.  I’ve included every farm, road stand, greenhouse and orchard that I could find. If you notice that I missed one, or got something wrong, please leave a comment below.
