March 18, 2014: We’re updating our Best of Jersey feature on St. Patrick’s Day.
Even though the Big Day & the Big Parade in NYC are over there are 9 more Paddy parades coming up in New Jersey. The celebrations began in Hoboken, Nutley, Collingswood and Mount Holly and continue all month long until Keansburg has its parade on the 29th.
We’ve listed all the parades, dinners and parties in every region that we could find. The biggest parade that we’ve found this year is in Belmar on the 2nd of March, the oldest parade is in Newark on the 14th and the newest parades are in Asbury Park on the 9th and Clinton on the 16th. Both communities will be staging their first parades this year.
There are parties leading up to the holiday that help fund the parades and there are special dinners and other types of celebrations in many parts of the state. We’ll keep adding more listings as we find them.
You’re welcome to join in and tell us about events near you that we might have missed.
