Stone Harbor will celebrate Independence Day with a very full day of old fashioned fun on Saturday, July 4th, 2015. All the activities are staged at the 81st Street Recreation Field and at the beach. The fun begins at 9:00 a.m. with a sand sculpture contest. There’s something going on all day with events like a hard candy scramble, foot races, a home run derby, slow bike races, bike decorating contests, and a decorated lifeguard stand contest. The day finishes with a concert and fireworks at the soccer field. The band starts at 7:00 p.m. and the fireworks are scheduled for about 9:30. The rain date for all of the events is July 5th.
