Haddonfield has rescheduled their fireworks for Sunday, July 6, 2014. Haddonfield will celebrate Independence Day on Friday & Sunday, July 4th & 6th. There is a fireworks display on Sunday night and a parade on Friday morning. The Haddonfield Celebrations Committee sponsors a fireworks display at the Camden County Park area behind the Haddonfield Memorial High School Stadium. There will be live music and refreshments. Admission is free. The fireworks will begin at dusk. There will be stadium seating allowed. Lawn chairs will not be allowed this year but blankets are welcome.
On Friday, July 4, 2014, the Independence Day Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on Kings Highway at Chestnut Street. The event’s theme this year commemorates the 250th anniversary of the founding of Haddon Fire Company #1. The parade includes a baby parade, a dress-up parade, bike, trike, big wheel and in-line skating parades. There parade also features antique cars and trucks. There will be free cold drinks and hot dogs and pretzels for sale. There is no rain date for the parade. You can check on the status of the parade on the Downtown Haddonfield Facebook page.
