The Best Pizza in New Jersey?

We keep running across articles with titles like ”Best Pizza in NJ: Fillintheblank’s Pizza Parlor”. Everyone seems to think that their little pizzeria or tiny Italian restaurant down the street has the best pizza in NJ and who can really argue with them. It’s really hard to visit every pizza place in a state with a population of over 8.5 million people and thousands of competitors. Just imagine if you could take the time and have the money to actually visit every independently owned place that serves pizza in every small town and big city in the state. It would take months to complete, countless thousands of dollars, a comparison/ranking/rating system and a lot of writing.

So we are setting up this feature as The New Jersey Bloggers Poll: a dynamic database or interactive online repository of articles about The Best Pizza in NJ. When we find a new post online we’ll post it here and add to the database. You can help us in this project by leaving a comment about articles you find featuring Great NJ pizza.

You can also add to the project by simply leaving a short comment or long review of your favorite place for pizza in New Jersey. We do have some requirements here. We only want to hear about the great places. (If you want to complain there are lots of places to do that online and this is not one of them) We also want this to be about small locally owned businesses not large corporate chain restaurants. If there is enough interest or demand we’ll start another poll on the best chain restaurant pizza in NJ.

Cate and Nick’s great “accidental pizza tour” begins here. Grimaldi’s is part of a small chain with locations in several states. They specialize in coal fired brick oven pizza.
